E/M Maintenance Technician

Duties:

The client is seeking an E/M Maintenance Technician with experience in the food manufacturing industry.  

Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on all machinery also to include building and grounds.

Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.

Records and reports damaged, worn.

Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines, collaborates with others to determine root cause.

Repairs broken machines, safely, quickly and efficiently.

Help clean, organize, and maintain shop areas, tools, and supplies.

Collaborates with the Management team regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required to any piece of equipment.

Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with Production Manager and Maintenance lead regarding test results and makes additional alterations, and, or adjustments to machinery as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong Electrical and Mechanical aptitude with great problem-solving skills

Works well independently and with others.

Good communication skills. Must speak fluent English.

Organized with attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Ideally looking for a 2-year related technical degree

Solid experience in the food manufacturing industry

Electrically inclined with knowledge of PLC’s and VFD’s

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking

Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery

Must be able to visually inspect machines, follow machine schematics’, drawings, and  diagrams

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
