Maintenance Technician ajc
We are not looking for maintenance workers who have tons of experience because we want to train to our standards.
Primary Responsibilities
• Work as part of a team to ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following diagrams, sketches, machine manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Work on/complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and align/center by using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Synopsis of Duties
An Industrial Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Operational Maintenance: machine maintenance, machine failure, air distribution, machine re-location, erection of shelving units, etc. basically ensuring that we can operate without failure.
Building Maintenance: floor upkeep, tuck-pointing, roof inspection, windows, siding, awnings, water drainage, asphalt, retaining walls, auto maintenance, plumbing, office remodeling, lawn care, snow removal, etc
