Job Duties:

•                          • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations (i.e. OSHA compliance where necessary).

•                          • Perform and document all required necessary preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment

•                          • Maintain ongoing list of projects with timeline to be addressed and completed

•                          • Ensures the work is completed with technical excellence, and in an efficient and cost effective fashion.

•                          • Actively participate on teams and offer suggestions for improvement

•                          • Troubleshoots and locates the source of the problem by observing the operation of the equipment, listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

•                          • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

•                          • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

•                          • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

•                          • Maintains plant upkeep and cleanliness (i.e. light replacements, cobweb removal, etc.)

•                          • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

•                          • Fabricates repair parts by using internal equipment when possible or outsources when necessary

•                          • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

•                          • Monitor production daily and promote adjustments on the process to ensure efficiency and quality

•                          • Monitor processes, show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues

•                          • Be available for phone support from extrusion operators

•                          • Contributes to team by assisting with operator training as needed.

•                          • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

•                          • Communicate with Gallina Italy regarding production and maintenance support

•                          • Maintain good communication with General Manager and extrusion operators

Position Requirements:

•                          • High school Diploma or equivalent required

•                          • Must be able to read, write and speak English instructions & documentation

•                          • A minimum of 2 years of machine operation or set-up experience in plastics

•                          • Ability to work independently with little supervision & follow guidelines

•                          • Demonstrated capability in basic math and measurement.

•                          • Knowledge of blueprints, schematics, pneumatics, motors, electrical, hydraulics, etc.

•                          • Basic electrical experience is required

•                          • PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus

•                          • Welding and carpentry experience
