Key Responsibilities:

· Product Design and Development:

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and design products that meet customer and market needs.

· Use 3D CAD software to create product models, design molds and fixtures, and create engineering drawings and BOMs.

· Analyze product designs and recommend changes to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and quality while reducing production costs.

· Manufacturing Process Development:

· Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for products.

· Assist with cost analysis of manufacturing processes.

· Establish standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for new products.

· Process Improvement and Optimization:

· Analyze and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

· Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline operations.

· Collaboration and Communication:

· Act as a liaison between engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure that product specifications and timelines are met.

· Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of product development projects.

· Quality Assurance and Improvement:

· Evaluate product quality throughout the manufacturing process and take corrective actions when necessary.

· Assist in root cause analysis for product defects or failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

· Support the execution of quality audits, inspections, and product testing.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain thorough documentation of engineering drawings and changes according to company standards.

· Maintain technical documentation such as work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Track and report on project status and other key performance metrics.

Other Duties:

· Help develop and maintain critical quality documents including quality policies, SOPs, and manufacturing control plans.

· Perform all job duties following a lean mindset and according to all safety policies.

· Special projects as assigned.

Required Experience and Education:

· B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment required.

· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding/casting, welding, etc.) a plus.

· Demonstrated 3D CAD skills.

· Experience with ERP software.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.

· Experience with various measurement tools and standard QC inspection protocols.

· Experience with quality systems in accordance with ISO 9001.
