Machine Shop/Assembly Inspector (Continuous Improvement Associate): - Caterpillar South Milwaukee
Primary role is machining and assembly inspection
Able to work Independently
Participate as a project team member and assists in data collection and analysis to support complex problem-solving projects.
Review process improvements that support the project.
Be able to perform process capability studies under the guidance of an engineer
Candidate Requirements:
Proficient with typical Microsoft applications
Capable of using tools including but not limited to Inside and outside micrometers, depth gage, vernier, caliper.
Ability to read and interpret standards and blueprints
Strong communication skills
Capable of working up to 12 hours when needed
Ability to work in confined spaces
Comfortable working at heights up to 15 feet
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with NDT testing (Magnetic particle testing, Liquid Penetrant)
Experience with Gears
SAP experience
Shift is 2nd - Full Time
This position starts at $25.86 to $28.02 hr -(depending on experience) plus an additional $1.00 for shift premium.
