NEEDS SCRPA INDUSTRY BACKGROUND
Scrap industry experience REQUIRED
Reports to Regional Marketing Manager who is also based in Milwaukee location.
Travel is typically day trips, not normally overnight though there could be some sporadic overnight trips.
We are set up as a geographic region – so our region is the Greater Milwaukee area – which for purposes includes the 5 county Milwaukee area, as far north as Sheboygan/Fond du Lac, north side of IL into north side of Chicago, and as far West as Madison.
Is calling on defined customers to price material for us to purchase and process (we are a reverse industry so we buy scrap metal unprocessed from “customers” and we sell processed material to “consumers” such as steel mills, foundry, etc.).
There may be some business development as well for customers we are not currently buying material from.
This role focuses on “industrial customers” meaning larger businesses and manufacturers such as Harley Davidson, Snap-On Tools, Masterlock, etc.
We have other Account Execs who focus on buying scrap cars from tow truck drivers and buying from smaller scrap yards – those would not be this role’s function.
