Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. PLC, HMI, and Variable Frequency Drive programming and troubleshooting
2. Electrical installation, troubleshooting and repair
3. Serves as a mentor for less experienced floor electricians and mechanics when necessary
4. Works on the production floor in a hands-on engineering environment
5. Plans and executes projects from start to finish with minimum supervision, and in a timely manner
6. Communicates project expectations and deviations to project team and to management
7. Documents and communicates material needs and usage
8. Looks for production process improvements that will minimize downtime, and or things that will help floor electricians troubleshoot easier.
9. Responsible for the development of the standard software and hardware architectures for all automation projects and will work with multiple teams for coordinated implementation
10. Drives the right technology choices for automation and presents the technology roadmap for both immediate and long-term growth
11. Understand and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
12. Communicates any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management
13. Uses knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical processes to troubleshoot machinery in a safe and skilled manner
14. Applies general knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, painting and masonry work as needed
15. Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
16. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
17. Responsible for following food quality and safety guidelines
18. Performs other related duties as assigned.
