This is a 12-Hour Day or Night Shift Opportunity. This role will train on 8 hour day shift initially.
As a Automation Technician I, you will support end of arm tooling (EOAT), robots, and automated assembly machinery as well as provides input for improvement processes in a manufacturing environment.
Below are additional duties and responsibilities:
Support automated machinery production runs by solving technical issues.
Responsible for training on assembly machines and robot set-ups.
Troubleshoot assembly equipment and other machinery including but not limited to pad printers, sonic welders, heat stakers, and hot stampers.
Identify unsafe equipment and ensure that equipment operates safely prior to line start up.
Set up robots, EOAT, conveyors, degators, secondary equipment, etc.
Operate automation cells and serve as the first line technical resource when troubleshooting problems with Process and Machinery.
Assist in writing technical documentation to serve as training materials for future operators.
Any other duties as assigned.
A qualified Automation Technician I candidate would fulfill these requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Completion or enrollment of an accredited two-year technical college program, or a four-year university program, in a related field of study is preferred.
1-2 years of experience in related field.
Fork truck and Lock out Tag out Certification.
Familiar working with conventional manufacturing equipment such as milling machines, lathes, saws, hand tools etc.
Toolmaker/Machine Builder experience is a plus.
It is more of an entry-level automation role.
They do have another automation tech role called Automation Tech II….. so if you have someone asking 30/hr with more than the required 1-2 years exp. they may be considered for that Level II tier.
