Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• New Business Champion:
- Lead new business development efforts by executing on opportunities that feed companies New Product Introduction in order to generate sources for additional revenue opportunities;
- Perform sales activities on new accounts and negotiate pricing and discounts in
consultation with company President and finance team;
- Forecast sales and pipeline information, including feeding the monthly forecasting
needed for financial reporting as well as for the needs of capacity planning for
departments such as operations, warehouse, and human resources.
• Customer Relationship Quarterback:
- Connect like-minded professionals from company to the customer and ensure that
relationships continuously run broadly through both organizations;
- Work closely with Customer Service, Engineering Manager and Plant Managers to
ensure that company is providing Engineered Solutions to new/existing customers.
• Sales Process/General Responsibilities:
- Support team metrics and reporting to maintain high performance and identify process
improvement opportunities;
- Apply Continuous Improvement techniques to take process performance to the next
level.
Experience/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business and/or;
• 5-7 years of a progressive track record of success in customer-facing responsibilities;
• Track record of Resilience and Drive to achieve goals;
• Excellent active listening skills with a curiosity to uncover customer needs and create
tangible customer value;
• Self-Starter with the ability to facilitate problem solving in a complex sales solution;
• Familiarity with New Product Introduction processes;
• Ability to collaborate with diverse cross-function teams including engineering,
manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, and distribution to deliver results;
• Willingness to travel domestically, 50% or more.
