Calibrations/Mechanical Eng. Technician - 3rd ajc

Job Responsibilities

· Perform instrument calibrations in accordance with established standards (NIST HB44, HB112, ITS-90, etc.), troubleshoot, and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs for all CCP Instrumentation to support both production and non-production related equipment in including but not limited to Stork Filling Systems. (Estimated 20 hours per week)

· Manage refurbish and calibration of mechanical devices for Stork Filling Systems including but not limited to filling valve, seal head, PnP, H2O2 manifolds, chain slats, and Decobox assemblies. (Estimated 20 hours per week)

· Manage equipment calibrations, programmable device configurations and systems hardware to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, minimize equipment downtime and support improvement activities for productivity and yield enhancement.

· Assist in the execution of process validation, tooling or package development testing to support organizational efficiency and process improvements.

· Collaborate with engineering and other cross functional groups to ensure equipment downtime is communicated in a timely fashion and that decisions are in alignment with productions needs and overall company initiatives.

· Support new Instrument and Mechanical installation and upgrades.

· Manage Data Entry and Verification.

· Continuously Improve Calibration routines and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.

· Maintain calibration Standards and send equipment in for yearly certifications.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications ·

· Associates Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or equivalent experience.

· 4-5 years of electrical experience in a food or beverage industry environment.

· Demonstrated Electrical aptitude and abilities to analyze a wide variety of sensors, troubleshoot problems, and assist with maintenance needs

· Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls aspects of factory automation systems and the integration of the devices used.

· Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical P&ID drawings, and applied knowledge operating systems up to 480VAC.

· Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

· 7+ years of electrical experience in a food or beverage industry environment

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation

· Working knowledge of Aseptic industry.

· Working knowledge of the operation of multi-meters, amp probes, and other troubleshooting equipment.

· Ability to work independently and as a team member; take initiative; use good judgment; and communicate effectively.

· Available to work weekends as required, including overtime, and responding to calls outside normal business hours.
