Machine Maintenance Technician gea

Job Duties

Building maintenance and repair.

Machine maintenance and repair.

Electrical repairs and troubleshooting.

Identifying machine wear.

Welding and fabricating.

Using lathes and vertical milling.

Assist in installation of new equipment.

Any other tasks that are assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

1-3 years of experience performing machine maintenance

Strong mechanical skills

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Electrical troubleshooting experience/skills

Must furnish own Mechanic set of tools in Metric and Standard

Must furnish own locking toolbox

Preferred Mechanical Skills

Experience using hand and power tools

Knowledge and experience using Mills, Lathes, and Band Saws

Mig welding experience

Able to read mechanical drawings

Diagnose and repair chain driven and gear driven equipment

Preferred Electrical Skills

Knowledge on how to diagnose and repair electrical control systems on manufacturing equipment. This includes Relay Logic, Photo Eyes, Proximity Switches, Mechanical Switches, and A.C. & D.C. up to 480 VAC 3 phase.

Diagnose PLC & HMI - Programming ability is a plus

Diagnose and repair of A.C & D.C motors and controls, including VFD motors.

Able to read mechanical & electrical blueprints

Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC)

Physical Demands

Ability to work with heavy machinery

Periodic lifting and working in different positions that may include: kneeling, laying, standing, or sitting

Ability to lift 40 pounds with or without accommodations
