Maintenance Mechanic ark

Heavy mobile equipment Maintenance Mechanic –

up to $32/hr, day shift.  Start time 5-6am, end time approx. 3-5pm Mon – Fri.  Averages about 50-55 hrs/wk.  

Will repair heavy mobile equipment such as large front-end loaders and mobile cranes (not overhead cranes, these are large material handlers with grapple or magnet attachments).  

Will work with the equipment operators to teach them basic daily PM’s such as greasing.  

Mechanic will perform more detailed work such as PM’s that are less frequent than daily; hose repair and replacement, etc.  

Will work with Maintenance Supervisor to determine which work will be done in-house vs. done by outside contractors.  

Will instruct parts dept (who reports to Maint Spvsr) which parts are needed for repair so they can be on-hand and have replacements ready.  

This is mostly independent work – this person will be 1 of 2 Heavy mobile equipment maintenance mechanics that work full-time at this facility, so there is someone else to assist with bigger jobs.
