Manual Machinist ahh
Set-up, adjust and operate a variety of machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on a diversified line of close tolerance work requiring a varying degree of skill and machining techniques.
Machine types include horizontal and vertical manual lathes, knee mills, drill presses, boring bars, boring mills, large milling and turning machines, grinders, and special purpose machines.
Product varies in size from medium to small work of complicated nature having critical and exacting requirements as to tolerance and feeds and speeds.
Determination of operational sequence and proper tooling is required.
Must be able to diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions.
Applicant must be able to perform set-up operations effectively and efficiently. Work from drawings, specifications, and job layouts.
Ability to use a wide variety of standard and custom precision measuring instruments is required.
Some moderate to heavy lifting is required.
Ability to measure and track specified dimensions.
Must be able to perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and must keep work area and machining centers clean and organized.
Perform all other duties that may be assigned.
