Mechanical Assembler jnf
Produces components and finished hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors on several different product lines by assembling parts and subassemblies.
· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
· Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
· Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
· Uses hand tools, assembly fixtures, or power tools to assemble parts.
· Examines connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
· Resolves assembly problems by notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
· Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Minimum 1 year of previous assembly work. Experience with hydraulic assembly a plus.
· Ability to interpret technical drawings including schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
· Mechanical aptitude.
· Simple math skills.
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
