Modeling Technician / Pattern Maker act
Candidates should be able to plan, layout, and construct wood or plastic patterns used in forming sand molds for casting production.
Candidates should have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and written specifications, and should have an understanding of typical foundry processes, needs and tooling requirements.
The ability to program and/or operate CNC equipment is highly desirable.
Must speak, read and write in English; must have strong mechanical aptitude and good hand eye coordination;
Must be able to lift 50 pounds; must obey safety rules and wear personal protective equipment as required.
Desired additional skills:
3D modeling ability using Surfcam, Powershape, Powermill, or working knowledge of Pro E and or AutoCAD.
The ability to understand, diagnose and correct problems with existing tooling made with manual techniques would also be desirable.
