Operations/ Warehouse Manager jnf
This individual will oversee operations and personnel for the distribution center location.
This distribution center holds about $5 million in inventory. Oversees 8-10 warehouse team members and 20-30 truck drivers. This person will be replacing the current manager. There would be opportunity for growth in the future. Current VP of operations might be moving up to COO, so there would be a need in the VP/ director spot.
Needs 10+ years of leadership/ management experience
Experience managing a warehouse and drivers is a plus
Lots of tenure in the warehouse, so needs to be able to work with and coach very seasoned employees
Ability to wear a lot of hats
Self-starter
Schedule: Monday-Friday starting around 6am. Most drivers head out about 6am, so would want to be there to see them out. Otherwise schedule is pretty flexible. Expect 45-50 hour weeks. Periodic Saturday check-in’s. (Warehouse runs on Saturdays)
Essential Functions
Manage all aspects of the appliance warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of appliances.
Supervise and train warehouse staff and delivery teams to ensure efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any delivery-related issues.
Maintain relationships with purchasing, suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of appliances and resolve any supply chain issues.
Implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels, prevent damage, and eliminate shrinkage
Qualifications
7-10 years of warehouse or logistics management experience, preferably in the appliance industry. White Glove delivery experience and leadership a plus.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
7-10 years of Management Experience in a high volume, multi-shift, distribution, order fulfillment operation.
