Plating Lead ark
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acts as lead plater: coordinates work, troubleshoots problems, answers questions.
• Responsible for the operation of the plating line, including the loading and unloading of the plating rack.
• Rack cast parts & hardware to the appropriate rack, following the process document for correct location and orientation of part.
• Inspect parts for plating quality and complete coverage.
• Report plating defects or problems relating to the plating line to the plating supervisor in a timely manner.
• Responsible for daily start-up of plating machine and wastewater treatment system
• Safely handle a wide range of hazardous chemicals including strong acids & caustics.
• Responsible for nickel filter cleaning.
• Responsible with chemical tank cleaning.
• Verify production numbers at end of shift.
• Assists with training team members & new hires as needed.
• Monitor MRO & consumable materials.
• Test & track chemical usages for daily production.
• Ability to support mechanical & electrical troubleshooting of Plating & WWT equipment.
• All other duties assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
A high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 + years Plating experience are required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Possesses ability to write simple reports as needed. Must be able to write and speak English and able to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Must be able to use math skills including addition and subtraction.
REASONING ABILITIES
Some judgment is required to set up assigned machine in accordance with standard methods and procedures.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• WWT & Haz Mat Certifications desired.
• Will provide training.

The position works in the manufacturing facility with extreme temperatures depending on weather and where the noise level is sufficient to require hearing protection as well as other safety equipment as needed.
