Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, including milestone tracking and critical path management.

• Help with establishing appropriate MRP/ERP system as appropriate.

• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define project requirements and deliverables.

• Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise to keep projects on track, and customers informed.

Production Scheduling:

• Manage overall shop production schedules, balancing manpower and resource allocation across multiple projects. Currently MS-Project is used for schedules.

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for individual projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

• Collaborate with production team and engineering to optimize workflow and resolve any scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks.

Production Drawing Review and Preparation:

• Review and interpret production drawings, comparing back to engineering code calculation packages, and customer specifications while ensuring ASME code

compliance. Redline drawings as applicable and send back to the engineering team.

• Prepare and modify production drawings as needed to meet project requirements and standards.

Vendor Management and Procurement:

• Source and manage relationships with global supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the optimal pricing, leadtime, and quality requirements on a per job basis.

Qualifications:

- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in project management and production engineering, preferably in a pressure vessel manufacturing environment are strongly preferred.

- Strong preference placed for candidates with knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div 1

Codes and heavy industrial fabrication.

- Proficiency in MS Office Products, AutoCAD 2D

- Ability to read, review, and prepare technical drawings.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Experience in vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiation.

HEI (Heat Exchange Institute)

ASME B31 (This is a piping code. There are several sections all applicable, particularly B31.1 and B31.3)
