Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Perform First Article Check and complete corresponding documentation for all products

• Perform daily in process auditing of all production lines to ensure conformance to customer requirements

• Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAIR) on new products

• Develop and initiate quality plans from engineering drawings, meeting company requirements for ISO 9001, AS9100, ASME and UL Codes and Regulations as well as

other standards as required.

• Own the ISO and Aerospace process for certification including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, chairing meetings for compliance and monitoring the company for compliance in all areas. Responsible for all certification processes.

• Perform daily review of rejected parts and investigate root cause. Prepare Corrective Action Reports as necessary

• Prepare Risk Analysis Reports as necessary

• Work with all departments to resolve quality questions and concerns in a timely manner

• Collect, report and analyze quality data from all shifts

• Ensure all department tools, gauges and measuring devices are in working order, report issues as required

• Maintain all quality system calibration records to ensure all calibrations are performed timely

• Determine gage and fixture requirements.

• Train machine operators in the use of all gauging required at press

• Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or methods that affect quality.

• Perform process capability studies; recommend changes to improve quality.

• Operate and program CMM and Keyence equipment

• Apply principles of ISO processes to daily work habits

• Participate on cross functional teams to address and resolve quality problems and to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods

• Participation in customer calls and visits

• Participation in risk assessment analysis projects such as FMEA control plans and similar tasks

• Supervise and manage Quality Department staff including hiring, progressive discipline, performance reviews and daily supervision.

• Follow all housekeeping procedures

• Comply with all quality and safety regulations

• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• Requires bachelor’s degree in engineering and two to three years of related experience, or seven to ten years of progressively responsible related experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,

technical procedures, governmental regulations, and ISO and ASME Codes. Ability to

write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively

communicate with managers, vendors, customers, and other employees of the

organization
