CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES SUPPORT – PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Process inquiries and orders and perform the necessary expediting to ensure a timely response to customer needs. Respond to customer requests and questions regarding products, delivery, or account information. Analyzes and rectifies customer concerns using established procedures. Ensures customer satisfaction.
Customer Focus: Dedicated to setting and meeting customer expectations and requirements. Demonstrate ability to act as a “trusted” customer advisor. Liaison between customers or potential customers and the various departments within the Company. Originates phone calls to accounts: new, existing, potential, and targeted, to provide and obtain information about products, services, pricing and a general “feel” for the competition; obtains other pertinent information critical to maintaining an accurate database.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES SUPPORT - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive, analyze and process all inquiries from customers and potential customers.
Maintain active project follow-up file. Demonstrate discipline to use customer relationship management tools to record sales activities, encouraging maximum sales activity, track progression of the sales cycle, and forecast results.
Supply necessary and pertinent information to Production, Purchasing and other departments of the Company to ensure proper and accurate product flow.
Track shipments when necessary and expedite through proper channels, providing customers with information as requested.
Process sales orders according to departmental standard operating procedures, being careful to check for accuracy of “Ship-To”, “P.O. #”, “Quantity” and “Price”.
Initiate the process for adding new customers.
Participate in sales calls as requested.
Complete order review checklist consistently.
Assist with new business development marketing initiatives.
Log quotes and orders in a database.
Assist with invoicing/AP as needed.
Other tasks/reports as required.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES SUPPORT - SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to set priorities - coordinates and completes a multitude of projects, plans and activities in a businesslike manner and timeframe.
Excellent communication skills in the English language including written, verbal and listening. Have ability to work with and relate to all business contacts using diplomacy and tact, to build constructive and effective long term business relationships.
Detail oriented and accurate. Ability to follow instructions displaying good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Pleasant and professional telephone voice, outgoing personality, and professional appearance.
Proficiency with computers.
Able to work independently and be dependable.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES SUPPORT – JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
At least two years’ experience in an office setting support position in sales and/or customer service arena required. Ideally in MFG. environment.
