QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
· Associate degree (or be in a program to obtain an associate degree) in fluid power, mechanical design, or associated field.
· 1-3 years of experience working in a fluid power laboratory is desirable.
· Must have good mechanical skills and be familiar with close tolerance machinery.
Language Skills
· Read, analyze and interpret engineering designs, drawings, test results and studies, and all other related information pertaining to materials, treatments, processing, and manufacturing.
· Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers.
· Write reports and business correspondence.
· Effectively present information to management and customers.
Reasoning Ability
· Define problems, collect and research data, establish facts, use intuition and experience to complement data, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Demands
· Occasionally required to reach above shoulders, climb, kneel, or crouch.
· Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and capability to occasionally lift and/or to move up to 25 pounds.
· Using hand tools, the employee must be able to assemble and disassemble test-stand set-ups, products, and their installation and come into close contact with various operating fluids required for the test, function, and performance evaluation of products.
Other Qualifications
· Operate a variety of office equipment such as a personal computer, calculator, telephone, fax machine.
· Operate a variety of shop equipment such as hoists, cranes, lab and production test stand equipment along with associated devices used for monitoring and measuring all size and performance aspects of a product under development, test or production.
