Router/Cutter gea

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take printed stock and cut to the proper dimensions as called for on the production order

Operate a large router to make details custom cuts for various types of printed stock

Read work order and verify all fabrication, that needs to be accomplished before cutting, is completed

Cut in accordance to priorities set by Supervisor

Report any issues or problems relating to signage to be cut to management

Maintain all safety and cleanliness standards

Utilize forklift as needed

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Experience with Cutting and Router machines

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Highly organized, with strong attention to detail

Ability to manage large workload, while producing quality work in a fast-pace environment with interruptions and deadlines  

Knowledgeable in basic math, fractions and percentage

Ability to pass a basic skills test

Ability to communicate (Read, speak, write, understand) in English

Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain for purposes of forklift certification

Available for weekend work shifts & overtime as needed

Safety conscious with ability to perform job functions in a safe manner

Ability to work alone and under minimal supervision

Ability to build effective relationships

Ability to develop creative solutions to client and internal problems and challenges

Project management skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects

Ability to contribute to building a strong and positive team spirit as well as align with GSP values

Physical demands:

PC/Keyboard: Position requires work on computers, using keyboards and viewing monitor

Standing:  Standing for lengthy periods of time

Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (Includes upward pulling) of up to 50 lbs

Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction

Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear

Depth Perception: Three-dimensional vision.  Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
