Candidates with forklift experience and proven computer skills; previous shipping/receiving experience is a requirement. The pay rate will start at $20.00+/hr for a selected candidate that meets BOTH qualifications. If we are unable to find a suitable candidate with both qualifications, but we select a candidate with strong experience/proven skill in ONE of the qualifications, the pay rate will start at $19.00 with additional training to be given on the other qualification.

Responsibilities:

· Ensures the enforcement of warehouse procedures and practices.

· Assists facilitator in the coordination of shipping/receiving schedules and workloads.

· Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments from transport vendors using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand carts.

· Utilize computer terminal to locate material and supplies in warehouse. Use computer to enter, access or retrieve data.

· Check and verify product according to the packing slips.

· Work within company and OSHA guidelines.

· Generate BOL for shipping.

· Call in daily shipments.

· Print off packing slips for daily shipments.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma with 2 years consecutive experience in Shipping & Receiving.

· Familiar with distribution and freight functions including scheduling freight carriers.

· Successful completion of forklift driver certification (would be a plus) per company policy.

· Experience in a lead position.

· Good Communication and Motivational Skills.

· Demonstrated ability in basic mathematical computations required to complete shipping documents.

· Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds from ground level to chest height.

· Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.

· Demonstrated analytical/problem-solving skills.

· Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word proficient.

· Valid Driver’s License.

· Experience with import and export freight.

· Ability to work shifts and hours mandated by management and to pass a drug screen

Working Conditions:

· Position is primarily warehouse based.
