ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Perform duties in a lead man position in stock room functions, including conveying work instructions to other stock room employees as instructed by Purchasing Manager.
· Assist in purchasing of product, raw material and services. Act as back-up to Purchasing Manager as needed for vacation, illnesses.
· Receive incoming freight, checking for damages, shortages, and for accuracy against purchase orders. Label incoming items with correct markings, acknowledge formal receipt of goods in the computer system, and record receipts on Bills of Material.
· Arrange, schedule and coordinate transportation of goods and equipment via common carrier and specialized carriers and assure all documentation is provided and accurate.
· Maintain inventory levels by requisitioning and performing material purchase, performing daily cycle counting, verifying that data to relieve inventory is processed into the computer system, and reconciling inventory shortages or discrepancies.
· Organize Bills of Material. Organize and file various shipping, receiving, and inventory control documents.
· Process credits for unused material from all jobs. To include preparation and arrangement of all documentation, coordinate returns to vendors, or their ultimate destination.
· Document tool/material loans and purchases by employees.
· Cross train with W.I.P. Expeditor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires education generally equivalent to four years of high school, one to three years of related experience in material handling and Manufacturing Services Department operations, and the ability to operate a computer keyboard and drive trucks and operate a fork lift truck and a variety of material handling equipment, and the possession of a Wisconsin Driver’s License and forklift operator certification.
