Essential Functions
• Will actively manage and regularly communicate schedule updates and statuses as they pertain to testing and shipping.
• Performs tests to ensure that physical characteristics, mechanical operations, and electrical functions conform to design and industry standards.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and / or final system.
• Determines and develop test specification methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Develops and maintains streamlined processes and documentation.
• Meets production schedules, productivity goals and quality standards.
• Identifies and reports any product quality problems or discrepancies.
• Completes testing documentation as outlined in the work order package and defined by the customer.
• Assist with Crating duties to ensure the system is shipping properly, undamaged.
• Oversee housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area on a daily basis and/or when required.
• Completes assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications.
• Perform set up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting and integration of instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Works with Shipping/Procurement to develop freight estimates for customers and quotes.
• Complies with standards and procedures of company's Health and Safety Manual and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
• Follow company's company policies.
• Report to work on time and work overtime as required and if required to travel for business: maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record as defined by our Insurance Carrier.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Expertise:
• HS education is required and completion of certificate program in Electronics or Industrial Controls is preferred.
• 3 - 5 years is a similar role either in a shop environment or service/technician type role is required, with a proven track record of positive employee relations and staff development.
• Communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a highly demanding environment.
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
• Ability to identify electrical and mechanical components used in the manufacture of company's systems.
• 3- 5 years of shipping/material handling experience with knowledge of shipping and receiving principles, practices and procedures.
• Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Repairing and Maintaining Electronic Equipment — Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
• Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Interacting with Computers — Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
Environmental Conditions:
• Humidity-level may be elevated during summer months in the manufacturing areas.
• Exposure to certain contaminants, at times, if working in the manufacturing areas.
• Exposure to loud noise levels, at times.

Physical Demands:
• This position requires occasional use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials, as required to conduct testing.
• Climbing on ladders may be required at times in association with testing.
• The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, helmets and hearing protection is utilized daily in the plant.
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard, calculator and telephone.
• Required to stand or walk, sit, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. without physical restrictions.
