Welding Supervisor act
Key Responsibilities
· Supervision and Leadership: Lead and manage a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and productivity.
· Project Management: Plan, organize, and oversee welding projects from start to finish, ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to.
· Quality Control: Inspect welding work to ensure it meets industry standards and specifications. Implement quality control measures and address any issues that arise.
· Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
· Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of welding equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and safe to use.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of welding projects, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered. Provide regular reports to management.
· Coordination: Work closely with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to ensure that welding projects align with overall company goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
· Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in a variety of welding techniques and materials is preferred. Good MS Office skills.
· Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional technical training or certification in welding is highly desirable.
· Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
· Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment. Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
· Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address quality issues.
· Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
· Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively address issues that arise during welding projects.
