Yard Worker/Shipping/Receiving gea

Responsibilities:

Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final shipment.

Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.

Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock and reporting shortages.

Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.

Confirms materials delivered.

Prepares finished components for shipment by identifying, stacking and securing product.

Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.

Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items internally and onto and off trucks or loading docks.

Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.

Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Moving large trucks including semis and acting as a yard spotter.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction and/or lumber a plus

Previous stock or inventory experience a plus

Previous experience operating a forklift, preferred

Previous experience working with large trucks including semis and acting as a yard spotter is preferred
